Company Profile Websites usually contain information about the company's business; how they operate, what they do, who their clients are, and what their Vision and Mission are. The navigation typically includes Our Client, Our Product or Our Services, About Us, Blog, and CTA. If there are additional elements outside of that, it is usually a complex business.
Now, because sometimes we encounter cases where the website is complex, there are things that need to be prepared before executing the Company Profile, and the things you need to prepare are:
Product Requirements Document (PRD)
If you work in a company that already has a product team, this PRD is usually prepared a long time in advance before the project starts, regardless of who the PIC (Person in Charge) is, you will definitely be given what is called PRD. If you are freelancing, try asking your client what the requirements are.
Contents & Assets Document
Whatever it's called, you definitely need content for the website. Usually, this content is prepared in a special file that is separate from the PRD, where the content ranges from the Homepage to the last page.
Design / Brand Guidelines
When you create a website design for a technology company with a dominant navy blue color, you cannot use green as the dominant color, because of that you need these guidelines so that the company's brand does not stray.
Style Guides
Different from the above, this guideline is to maintain the consistency of each component you create, and if there is a change you can modify it in the parent components.
However, you may not be able to get everything ready at the beginning because they also have their own constraints while preparing everything. To overcome this, you can keep in touch, continue to coordinate, and continuously update the progress directly to the PIC or to your lead. So, now you know what needs to be prepared, right? Don't forget to keep reading the documentation...
