Project Overview
Project Overview
During the 2022-2023 period, at the startup I co-founded with 4 friends, I was responsible for a key project in the development of Gikslab's Company Profile. Gikslab is a company specializing in connecting businesses with professional freelancers in three main fields: Creative Design, IT, and Finance, with a Remote Working system.
The project aimed to create a compelling and professional company profile for Gikslab, a startup specializing in connecting businesses with expert freelancers in the fields of Creative Design, IT, and Finance. The profile needed to reflect Gikslab's core values, services, and the unique offering of a Remote Working system that sets it apart in the freelance industry.

Research & Observation of Freelancers
Research & Observation of Freelancers
In an effort to better understand the trends and behaviors of freelancers, we conducted research and observation on a number of freelancers who are our target users—those who use freelancer platforms and are aged between 18 and 30. Here are the key findings from our study:
We found that 31 out of 51 participants we interviewed are employees at companies.
The main reasons they want to freelance while still working as employees are financial compensation and the freedom in their work.
The two common payment methods they use are "Hourly-Based" and "Project-Based."
The "Hourly-Based" method allows them to work with high flexibility, which is beneficial if a project exceeds the agreed timeline due to technical or non-technical constraints.
Meanwhile, the "Project-Based" method can be the best alternative for receiving substantial compensation for well-structured projects.

Problem Statement
After processing data and analyzing the information provided by freelancers, we have gained valuable insights for the development of our digital product. We have concluded that:
"Freelancers highly value certainty in their work. They seek projects or jobs that provide clarity regarding time, schedules, compensation, and task descriptions."

Solutions Provided
Solutions Provided
To address the issues faced by freelancers, we have designed several targeted and effective solution concepts. These solutions aim to ensure that freelancers can work more clearly, structured, and be valued for their work. Here are the proposed solution concepts:
Create Work Contracts
Develop a feature to create and sign clear and legally binding work contracts between clients and freelancers. This contract will include important information such as project descriptions, schedules, compensation, and deadlines. The contract will be facilitated through the platform, providing legal protection for both parties.Project Elaboration
Encourage clients to provide a very detailed and clear project description. This includes task details, expected outcomes, and all necessary information for freelancers to work with a clear understanding. We will also provide features to facilitate communication between clients and freelancers, including initial discussion sessions to ensure better understanding.Payment Methods Based on Time or Project
Provide two payment options to offer flexibility for freelancers:Based on Time: Freelancers are paid based on the hours they work, offering flexibility for handling complex or long-term projects.
Based on Project: Freelancers are paid based on completing specific tasks or projects. We also offer an option for upfront payment, especially for project-based tasks, which gives freelancers peace of mind before starting the work.
Payment Deadline
Establish clear payment deadlines to ensure freelancers are compensated on time. These deadlines will also include penalties for late payments from clients, providing an incentive for clients to fulfill their obligations.Work Reports
Provide a feature to create and send detailed work reports in accordance with the terms agreed upon in the contract. These reports help maintain transparency between clients and freelancers, providing evidence that the work has been completed as expected.
With these solutions, we hope to create a more transparent and fair working environment for freelancers, as well as increase trust between clients and freelancers in every project undertaken.

Site Map & Information Architecture
Site Map & Information Architecture
We want to create a Company Profile Website as the main gateway for clients and freelancers to understand who we are, what we do, and how we work. The first step is to create content and filter it into sections that we think are appropriate to display on the website.
I have developed a Site Map that provides an overview of the website structure. This initial Site Map will be reviewed by the CEO, Project Manager, and Research Team to ensure alignment with the company’s business goals and user objectives. An important aspect here is how the company’s Vision and Mission can be communicated effectively and easily understood by visitors (potential users and clients).
The list of pages I have designed includes:

After the Site Map was approved, I gathered several design references from the internet, as well as design inspiration from competitor websites offering similar services and products to Gikslab.

Wireframe & Mockup
Wireframe & Mockup
I created a wireframe to visualize the visual layout of the website pages. I believe that wireframing is crucial before entering the high-fidelity design phase because if there are any layout changes, adjustments can be made without taking too much time. At this stage, the wireframe design can be shared with stakeholders to gather feedback.

After receiving feedback on the wireframe and getting approval, I proceeded to the mockup stage. It was important for me to strengthen the visual brand identity, establish color usage, and create styles for the website, including small elements like buttons, to ensure that the website aligns with the established brand guidelines.
